Movie was significantly worse than I thought it would be. CGI tentacles and bugs, annoying cult lady, terrible ending. This main character fights for his life and to protect his son the entire movie and 5 seconds after running out of gas, he decides that killing everyone is a better idea than literally anything else.
I don't normally like to let bad CGI detract from my experience but I couldn't help it with this film. Those insects look awful. But the majority of the film is great and the ending is one of the best movie endings. The scene with the spiders is one of the creepiest things I've ever witnessed

28 de feb. de 2017 · The CGI looks so much better. And it even helps sell the truly controversial aspect of the film: the ending. When people get passionately angry about The Mist —and they do—they’re always ranting about how awful the ending is and how everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves for ending it that way. I get why they’re so upset.
24 de jun. de 2022 · The CG looked bad (and there was a lot of it), the characters were annoying and making it difficult to sit through the movie, and then it gives you the most overly dramatic ending they could've come up with.
