The three baby dinos (Egbert, Shelly and Yoko) are baby Tyrannosaurus Rexes which were adopted by Sid, a Ground Sloth. They are all voiced by director Carlos Saldanha. Sid stole the eggs from their mother (having found them alone, thinking they were abandoned) and hatched them himself.

In Ice Age 3 Sid finds three eggs under the ice. He thinks they are alone and adopts them, naming them Eggbert, Shelly and Yoko. Manny doesn't want Sid keeping them, but he does, and they hatch into Baby Dinosaurs.
When Sid takes three dinosaur eggs to the surface, he gets kidnapped by the mother dinosaur and gets taken to the underground dinosaur world. With the help of a friend, the group must do everything that they can to get Sid back while trying to survive.
After Diego tells Sid that Manny and Ellie don't want them any more, Sid finds three abandoned eggs under the ice, which he takes up and names Eggbert, Shelly and Yoko. He also draws faces on them.
