If you're into going places where no one else can, keep your XJ the way it is, no need for a 350. However if you want to to sand/mud drags, I would look into a wrangler rather than mod your cherokee.

THis would allow you to swap in a craberated V8 and not have to mess with all the other conversion EFI headaches. It would also be easier to get inspected due to the fact that it started life as a carberated vehicle.
