The Forester's Daughter (German: Die Försterchristel) is a 1962 West German historical musical film directed by Franz Josef Gottlieb and starring Sabine Sinjen, Peter Weck and Gerlinde Locker. It was one of four film versions of the 1907 operetta Die Försterchristl. It was made at the Bavaria Studios in Munich.

He falls in love with Christ'l, daughter of the Imperial Forester. The Emperor arrives as the guest of the count, and Christ'l runs across him in the forest and, mistaking him for a minor court official, detain him for poaching.
Franz Földessy is in love with Christine and asks her father, the forester Hans Lange, for her hand. Peter Walperl, who is also in love with her, reveals in his jealousy that Franz is a deserter. Franz admits that he once hit an officer who seduced his sister and therefore had to flee the army.
