Superchunk is an American indie rock band from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, United States, consisting of singer-guitarist Mac McCaughan, guitarist Jim Wilbur, bassist Laura Ballance, and drummer Laura King.
Superchunk is the debut studio album by American indie rock band Superchunk. It was recorded January 18–19, 1990, at Duck Kee Studios in Raleigh, North Carolina, and released on Matador Records in 1990.

The CD edition of Superchunk's self-titled debut has been remastered and is housed in a gatefold-style wallet that features updated artwork, photos, and notes from the band. It includes a digital download of a live performance recorded at CBGB in 1990.
