Nita Naldi (Nueva York, 13 de noviembre de 1894 – Ibidem, 17 de febrero de 1961) fue una de las más exitosas actrices del cine mudo durante los años 1920.
Nita Naldi was an American stage performer and silent film actress who was known as a vamp. She starred in films such as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Blood and Sand, and The Mountain Eagle, and was a friend of Rudolph Valentino.
Nita Naldi was born on November 13, 1894 in a tenement located at 309 E. 114th Street in the then-Irish enclave of Harlem. According to her birth certificate, her parents, Patrick and Julia Cronin Dooley, named her Mary.
Nita Naldi’s career as a movie star was a short one as film careers go, from Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in 1920 to her last film, Die Pratermizzi, released in 1927. She had only one lead role ( The Mountain Eagle, 1926) and is mainly remembered for her costarring roles with Rudolph Valentino.
