Holly and the Italians is the first studio album released by the American singer Holly Beth Vincent as a solo artist, in 1982.
Holly and the Italians. In 1978, Vincent formed in Los Angeles the band Holly and the Italians with drummer Steve Young (aka Steve Dalton), whom she knew from high school. The new band moved to London in early 1979 and Vincent went to live with Knopfler.

It's only fitting that Holly Beth Vincent of Holly & the Italians would eventually make a record with Joey Ramone (the pair revisiting "I Got You Babe" on a 1982 single). In many ways, Vincent could have passed for Ramone's younger sister (or maybe a kissing cousin).
The Joey Ramone 'I Got You Babe' (1982) collaboration...You know I don't remember who came up with the idea, I think it was a promoter, not sure and wish I knew. Anyway it was recorded at one of Virgins' studios, The Manor, in the 'countryside' somewhere.
Holly and the Italians plays up Vincent’s voice and songs in a mesmerizing and mature swirl of baroque atmospheres, opaque introspection, sexual ambivalence and psychedelically distorted hallucinations.
