Franziska Walser ist die älteste von vier Töchtern des Schriftstellers Martin Walser und Katharina „Käthe“ Neuner-Jehle. Sie wuchs am Bodensee auf. [1] Nach dem Abitur absolvierte sie von 1972 bis 1975 eine Schauspielausbildung an der Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in München. [2]
