Located in the Financial District of Dubai, UAE, the Museum of the Future is a torus-shaped building with windows in the form of a poem about the future, written by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai.
The Museum of Future Government Services, opening in Dubai on the 10th of February, is an interactive design futures exhibition launched at the UAE Government Summit. The Museum explores the future of travel, healthcare, education and urban services.
The Museum places participants into an interactive narrative space, in order to provide a visceral experience of the future. As populations will become increasingly urbanized, the city of the future forms the context in which to explore how the government can improve the lives of its citizens.
This first exhibition, set in 2025, proposed ways for governments to better serve their citizens by designing technology-enabled public services that equal or surpass the quality standards expected of consumer services.
