24 de abr. de 2018 · SRI AUROBINDO SOCIETY SYMBOL. It is the symbol of Sri Aurobindo, with lines joining the apexes of the two triangles to form a diamond. The significance of the diamond, according to Sri Aurobindo, is the Mother’s light at its intensest.
The descending triangle represents Sat-Chit-Ananda. The ascending triangle represents the aspiring answer from matter under the form of life, light and love. The junction of both – the central square – is the perfect manifestation having at its centre the Avatar of the Supreme – the lotus.
The Auroville Symbol Its Significance The dot at the centre represents Unity, the Supreme; The inner circle represents the creation, the conception of the City; the petals represent the power of expression and realisation.
The twelve petals represent the twelve powers of the Mother manifested for Her work. The central circle represents the Supreme Mother, the Mahashakti. The four central petals are the four aspects of the Mother—and the twelve petals, Her twelve attributes.
