The Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) -the largest astronomical project in existence- is a single telescope of revolutionary design, composed of 66 high precision antennas located on the Chajnantor Plateau, 5000 meters altitude in northern Chile.

ALMA está abierto para quienes deseen conocer sus instalaciones ubicadas en el norte de Chile (50 km de San Pedro de Atacama) cada sábado y domingo por la mañana previa inscripción, llenando el siguiente formulario.
El Observatorio ALMA ofrece transporte a los visitantes desde San Pedro de Atacama ubicado a 35 kilómetros del Centro de Apoyo a las Operaciones (OSF) de ALMA. La inscripción previa es obligatoria. La visita comienza en San Pedro de Atacama a las 9:00 am.
