The discrete sampling of a wave-front using a Shack-Hartmann sensor limits the maximum spatial frequency we can measure and impacts sensitivity to frequencies at the high end of the correction band due to aliasing.
Further-more, the finite resolution of the sensor introduces aliasing. In this article the impact of these effects on atmospheric turbulence parameter estimation is addressed with sim-ulations. It is found that cross coupling is the dominant bias. An iterative algorithm to overcome it is presented.
23 de nov. de 2018 · Noise, aliasing, and modal cross-coupling (Herrmann 1981) are effects introduced by the SH-WFS which degrade the quality of the wavefront reconstructions and limit the accuracy of the method. Aliasing results from the finite spatial resolution of the SH-WFS when sampling phase gradients of turbulence-induced distorted phases which have non ...
1 de jul. de 2003 · In this paper, we propose a complete model of Shack–Hartmann wave-front sensor, seen as a grating interferometer. A new technique for extracting the phase derivative is also proposed and the exact quantity measured is detailed.
6 de ene. de 2023 · Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor plays a key role in adaptive optics (AO) systems, which detect the aberrant wavefront by an array of micro-lenslets across the aperture pupil.
6 de ene. de 2023 · Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor plays a key role in adaptive optics (AO) systems, which detect the aberrant wavefront by an array of micro-lenslets across the aperture pupil. However, some sub-apertures would be a lack of light induced by the imperfectness of micro-lenslets or pupil shift away from the optical path.
26 de jul. de 2016 · We propose a simple optical modification to a SH WFS (borrowed from the digital video camera industry), and present simulation results showing that the aliasing errors are reduced.
