Valkyrie is named the King of New Asgard. Staring in disbelief, Valkyrie took his statement as a joke, but soon realized he was serious. Glancing at the prospect of being the leader of the Asgardians, Valkyrie warned Thor that she would make changes to New Asgard in his absence.

Valkyrie is a superheroine appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Steve Englehart and Sal Buscema, the character first appeared in Defenders #4 (November 1972). [1] [2] She is based on the Norse mythological figure Brynhildr. [3]

Valkyrie is an Asgardian. She was part of a legendary force of women warriors that seemingly all perished. When Odin ordered the Valkyrie to drive his daughter Hela, the Goddess of Death, into a prison of Odin’s making, she alone survived the assault thanks to another’s sacrifice that saved her.
In the comics, the Valkyrie, or Valkyrior, led by Valkyrie, were killed in a war between Odin and Hela over rulership of Valhalla. Odin restored the Valkyrie to life after he regained possession of Valhalla, but these Valkyrie only have physical forms within Valhalla; outside it, they exist only in astral form.
A powerful Asgardian warrior, Valkyrie is a goddess who can sense death, and was selected by Odin to escort the honored slain to Valhalla. On Earth, she was known simply as Samantha Parrington.
