Pembroke College, one of the oldest in Cambridge University, has an extraordinarily rich campus of medieval origins, which expanded over the centuries into a patina of courts, lawns and yards with fine buildings from the 17th, 19th and 20th centuries.
When Pembroke College, Cambridge, decided to build extra student rooms and other facilities, it enabled Eric Parry Architects to rework the entire south-east corner of the site, adding a new court and a replacement Master’s Lodge
So, in 1995, the College commissioned Eric Parry to undertake a large construction project to house 92 students in the south-east corner of the garden, in place of the Master's Lodge and Garden. Foundress Court was finished in 1997.
Eric Owen Parry RA (born 24 March 1952) is a British architect, designer, writer and educator. Parry is the founder and principal of Eric Parry Architects established in London in 1983.
