La República de Corea (en coreano: 대한민국, Daehan Minguk ⓘ ), comúnmente Corea del Sur 5 es un Estado soberano de Asia Oriental, ubicado en la parte sur de la península de Corea. Limita al norte con Corea del Norte, con la cual integró un solo país hasta 1945.
