Rebecca Sugar is apparently a fan of Invader Zim. Peridot gives off a VERY zim-like vibe. This is also super-cute, to see her excitement and confidence (and to know how far she has gone in her life continuing with same). I just imagine Peridot as Zim, and it works perfectly.

It’s amazing to think how much we were exactly the same in high school, obsessing over this show, drawing fan art/writing fics online and idolizing Jhonen Vasquez as well.
