Mother 3 (Japanese: マザースリー Mother 3) is the third and final installment in the Mother series. It was developed by HAL Laboratory, Inc., Nintendo, and Brownie Brown and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance on April 20, 2006. It has currently been released only in Japan.
Al igual que en el primer Mother, (conocido en América como Earthbound Beginnings), en este se puede correr para ir más rápido sin usar un auto o una bicicleta. Esta opción no fue incluida en EarthBound (llamado en Japón Mother 2).

Mother 3 retains the turn-based battle system featured in EarthBound. When the player comes into contact with an enemy in the overworld, the game transitions to a battle screen. Battles are viewed from a presumed first-person perspective, showing the enemies against a distorted, animated background.
Third installment in Shigesato Itoi's "Mother" roleplaying game series, known in the west as EarthBound.
