    1 de nov. de 2010 · Whenever they are free ranging and I bring them a treat, I make a noise they are now familiar with. This is when they come running. As time went by they just come when they see me walking in the yard or sitting on the deck. Treats or not. I can also just reach down and pick them up as they are very friendly.

I'd like to think my chickens love me but they don't show affection the way dogs or cats do so it is hard to judge. To answer your questions: 1. Yes, I think they can feel comfort when you pet them or hold them, if they're into that sort of thing.
