This conference is the flagship event of the World Adaptation Science Programme (WASP), one of the four components of the World Climate Programme. In October 2023, Ouranos, the Government of Canada and the WASP will host the 7th edition of Adaptation Futures (AF2023).
The Adaptation Futures Conference series is the premier international conference devoted entirely to climate change adaptation, bringing together researchers, policymakers, practitioners, industry representatives and communicators to present their work in adaptation, learn what others are doing, and build networks.
6 de oct. de 2023 · The seventh Adaptation Futures international conference series on global adaptation is being organized by Ouranos, in partnership with the Government of Canada and the World Adaptation Science Programme (WASP). The conference is taking place in a hybrid format on October 2-6, 2023 in Montreal, Canada.
The 8th international Adaptation Futures Conference (AF2025) will be held in Ōtautahi Christchurch, New Zealand from 13 to 16 October, 2025. It is hosted by the University of Canterbury Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha with regional Oceania and international partners.

The World Adaptation Science Programme (WASP) Secretariat is delighted to open the call for proposals to host the ninth Adaptation Futures international conference, to take place during a week in the period September-November 2026.
