Wellington High School is a coeducational, learning focused campus in the heart of Wellington city. Our high expectations, restorative practices, and inspiring, collaborative classrooms promote resilience and learners who are passionate about making the world a better place.
Wellington High School is a co-educational secondary school in the CBD of Wellington, New Zealand. It has a role of approximately 1500 students. It was founded in 1886 as the Wellington College of Design (later the Wellington Technical School), to provide a more practical education than that offered by the existing schools.
"At Wellington High School we have high expectations that all our students will achieve their personal goals. Our long-term international students are prepared for university or polytechnic study either in New Zealand or overseas. Our short-term students enjoy studying and learning in a new culture."
