I love Mac Miller but what you described is exactly how I feel about J Cole (other artists too just using Jermaine). Guess it all comes down to preference. Mac has some great bars on many of his tracks and he’s a talented songwriter & producer who’s great at creating albums with at least some sense of a concept.
11 de jul. de 2019 · The choice for BSP- Watching Movies and Swimming versions are a bit odd (obviously "Gotta work whatcha got") because they show an obviously older Mac. I know WMWTSO-Good:AM shows a Mac from the Good:AM era but they weren't as drastically different (probably an overstatement) as BSP and Divine Feminine/Swimming Mac.
13 de ene. de 2020 · I love Mac Miller so much, and all of his work is so amazing in so many different ways. But Faces will always be my favorite. I’ll always remember that summer. It was such a different project from him, something unexpected for me at that time in my life. But something about it man, it just kept pulling me back.

Jet Fuel: Introspective song with a charming instrumentals (trip-hop mixtured with dancehall, very different combination). Conversation Pt. 1: Older Mac Miller talking to his younger version. Could be applied to his listeners too.
