Hawtreys Preparatory School was a private boys' preparatory school in England, first established in Slough, later moved to Westgate-on-Sea, then to Oswestry, and finally to a country house near Great Bedwyn, Wiltshire. In its early years it was known as St Michael's School.

This is a site dedicated to keeping together the Old Boys of Hawtreys School which resided at Tottenham House from 1946 to 1994 when it merged with Cheam School. We held a reunion at Tottenham House in 2016 and hope to organise future dinners in London.
2 de nov. de 2021 · Abstract. R. G. Hawtrey, like J. M. Keynes, was a Cambridge graduate in mathematics, an Apostle, influenced by the Cambridge philosopher G. E. Moore, and connected to the Bloomsbury Group. Though eventually overshadowed by Keynes, Hawtrey, after publishing Currency and Credit in 1919, was in the front rank of monetary economists.

William Hawtrey of Chequers sat for Buckinghamshire in 1563 and his brother, Michael, for Bedford in 1572. A cadet branch was established early in the sixteenth century when a younger son, Ralph Hawtrey, married Winifred Wollaston of Ruislip, a village 20 miles away across the county border.
