John Edward Christopher Hill (6 February 1912 – 23 February 2003) was an English Marxist historian and academic, specialising in 17th-century English history. From 1965 to 1978 he was Master of Balliol College, Oxford.

Christopher R. Hill is an American diplomat and former ambassador to Serbia, Iraq, South Korea, Poland, Macedonia and Albania. He was also involved in the Bosnia peace settlement and the six-party talks with North Korea.
