Central Foundation is a popular and over-subscribed comprehensive school for boys aged 11 to 16, with a successful co-educational Sixth Form.
Central Foundation Boys' School is a voluntary-aided comprehensive secondary school in the London Borough of Islington. It was founded at a meeting in 1865 and opened the following year in Bath Street, before moving to its current location on Cowper Street in 1869.

In the fall of 2017, Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs (OU) contracted with The Business of Good Foundation, The Columbus Foundation, IGS Energy, The Tony R. Wells Foundation, and the United Way of Central Ohio to conduct research into the state of social enterprise in Central Ohio.
Central Foundation Boys' School is a non-selective secondary school maintained by the local authority (Islington). It has about 1,110 boys aged between 11 and 18. In February 2015 the school was rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. Particular strengths include Destinations, Progress, Disadvantaged pupils and Sixth form.
