To expedite matters he decided to change into uniform and pulled off the Hogs Back to do so.

  5. 27 de ago. de 2024 · Niven played the part of the Platoon commander on a break from his real-life rank of Lt Col as a squadron commander in Phantom, whilst Ustinov (a Private) co-wrote the screenplay and played a cameo role as the feelthy French cafe owner, and did it rather well IMHO, especially the darts match. I thoroughly recommend The Way Ahead.

    Rifle Depot, Motor Battalion, in Winchester. He was then sent to GHQ Liason Regiment at Richmond Park in early 1941 under Major David Niven. He became a very good wireless & communications operator being excellent at morse code. Major David Niven then appointed him his personal driver & wireless operator & they became great friends apparently.
