Hi, I visited Sanctuary Cap Cana Sept 2018 to celebrate my mom's milestone bday. Here's my review, but going back on my memory and comparing Sanctuary to Secrets Royal Beach and Dreams Punta Cana, the Sanctuary was quiet in comparison to the other hotels.

Both are great options for an anniversary trip. I never have been but I've good things from both hotels, I would lean more towards secrets cap cana after seeing reviews, ranking and pictures.
Pros. Adults-only all-inclusive resort along excellent white-sand beach. Resembles a Spanish castle and has a stunning cliffside location. Gorgeous rooms have jetted tubs and furnished terraces -- some with ocean views. Upgraded suites have butler service, outdoor hot tubs, and living rooms.

Sanctuary has a very Mediterranean feel to it. It is like a place that has been there for many years, although relatively new. It covers the bases of food, drink, and accommodation as one would expect. SecretsCC is also very nice in its own way but as resorts go, more of a cookie-cutter setup.
