I'm super duper late but here's a little guide for those who want to play the enhanced edition of Silent Hill 2 (Silent Hill 2: Enhanced Edition) meant for PC. Begin by navigating to C:\Program Files (x86)\ create a folder "Konami" and then "Silent Hill 2" inside of "Konami".

Silent Hill 3: Emulation through PCSX2. Silent Hill 4: Buying the gog release and emulating the PS2 version through PCSX2.

Download and install winrar. Google "silent hill 2 abandonware" click on first site that comes up then scroll down until you find fully extracted file (not iso) download it then extract it. 22 de oct. de 2021 · After playing both the PS2 version and the Enhanced Edition for PC back to back, I can safely say as someone who has been stuck on the PS2 version for many years: the Enhanced Edition is the definitive way to play Silent Hill 2 now. I'll be doing my yearly playthroughs on that version of the game for the foreseeable future.
Search Silent Hill 2 and choose Silent Hill 2: Director’s Cut, Select Install on the next page. This will automatically install the Enhanced Edition. Leave the location default if you wish, Also Select Create steam shortcut to access in Game Mode. Select Install. Before continuing on the following window:

Recently got myself Silent Hill 2 PC version since I saw all the video's about this Enhanced Edition and I wanted to try it out for myself. Bought the PC port, installed it, modded it, got it all working, expect the controller. I followed the guide on the SH2 Enhanced Edition step by step.
24 de abr. de 2023 · hexoral333. My first experience was playing the original PC version but with a bug fixed that stopped the audio from looping endlessly. I prefer it on PS2 on a CRT and with a PS2 controller in my hand. I'm not sure if the PC version supports rumble, cuz that is definitely something that enhances the experience.
24 de feb. de 2023 · Yes, the pcsx2 version is just the ps2 version with the graphic upgrades and fixes the emulator can do. The Enhanced Edition is the closest thing of an actual remaster of the original PC port we can get, improved sound, textures, a lot of bug fixes, full widescreen support on high resolutions, it is the best way to play Silent Hill 2 today.
