In recent years, Tier 1 SOF, such as SEAL Team 6 (DEVGRU) and Delta Force, have employed an innovative set of NVGs called the Ground Panoramic Night Vision Goggles (GPNVG). Designed by L3 Warrior Systems, the GPNVG solves the limited FOV problem by using 4 tubes.
PVS-31 is used by 95% of JSOC operators and PVS-15s are the most battle proven night vision on earth. GPNVG-18s are something you see in movies, they’re heavy and unnecessary, you would understand if you tried them (which you haven’t). GPNVGs are only used in movies or if doing a raid which is 30 minutes or less.

When used by multiple operators working in a team, the GPNVGs have a multiplicative effect, offering greatly enhanced security with interlocked fields of fire and observation, reducing operator fatigue and “giving up” dead space when scanning surroundings.
