Howl's Moving Castle (Japanese: ハウルの動く城, Hepburn: Hauru no Ugoku Shiro) is a 2004 Japanese animated fantasy film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki. It is loosely based on the 1986 novel by British author Diana Wynne Jones. The film was produced by Toshio Suzuki, animated by Studio Ghibli and distributed by Toho.

Argumento. Sophie es una joven sombrerera cuyo camino se cruza con el de un excéntrico mago llamado Howl, mientras se proponía a visitar a su hermana, Lettie. Al regresar conoce a la Bruja del Páramo, quien le lanza un hechizo que la transforma en una mujer de noventa años.
El castillo ambulante narra la historia de Sophie, una joven sobre la que pesa una horrible maldición que le confiere el aspecto de una anciana. Sophie decide pedir ayuda al mago Howl, que vive en un castillo ambulante, pero tal vez sea Howl quien necesite la ayuda de Sophie.
