You can boost your speed by having horses (not sumpter) in your inventory even if you're not riding one. You move a lot faster after 50 athletics. Kill enemy or dealt a lot damage while on foot that how you grinding athletic skill. Use crossbow, bow or javelin on looter is recommended.

You can catch faster groups by using map to your advantage. Drive a caravan or fast lord to a corner on travel map but don't directly follow them. Instead press pause button (hotkey is number 1 by default).

With a good horse, you're generally the fastest character on the battlefield, but starting out on foot you're going to be the slowest. You have to play a lot smarter, at least until you get to high athletics levels and obtain other various movement speed perks.
My horse is a rocket but then all my soldiers run twice my speed on foot. what traits make you run more quickly on your own two legs? Am I just bad at cardio?
14 de abr. de 2020 · you press 3 while moving on the map. This increases the total game speed, outside of that you have various things that affect your movement speed: 1. spare horses for foot soldiers increase your movement speed
Moving on the world map on foot does level the skill but slows you down considerably. The easiest option is to be mounted and then just dismount at the start of the battle and fight on foot.
