Most of these rivers originate from other countries and flow into our country.
The Mekong Delta contains one of the most productive and diverse river systems on Earth. Each year floods deposit nutrient-rich alluvial soils downstream, fuelling a biodiversity that’s second only to that of the Amazon Basin and supporting a wealth of globally threatened wildlife.
