Kanna Tanigawa (谷川 柑菜, Tanigawa Kanna) is one of the main characters in Waiting in the Summer. An outgoing girl quick to speak her mind, Kanna is one of Kaito Kirishima's childhood friends with Tetsuro Ishigaki.

10 de ene. de 2012 · While testing out his camera on a bridge one summer night, Kaito Kirishima sees a blue light streaking across the sky, only to be blown off the railing seconds later. Just before succumbing to unconsciousness, a hand reaches down to grab ahold of his own.
Kaito's classmates Kanna Tanigawa and Mio Kitahara volunteered later. When Kaito goes to test his camera after class, he finds Ichika fishing in the river. He finds out that she has nowhere to go, so he unwittingly offered her to stay at his house, given that his sister will be away for three months.
But upon heading to school, the boy notices a new face that’s familiar to him somehow - her name is Ichika Takatsuki, and she’s new in town. Kaito’s friends, noticing his interest in the girl, all resolve to make a movie this summer and cast her as the lead, to which she immediately approves.
Both feature a female friend of the male protagonist who has a name that starts with "K" and a bob style haircut that eventually confesses their romantic feelings to the main character only to be rejected (Koishi and Kanna)
