The Scarf is a 1951 American film noir written and directed by Ewald André Dupont starring John Ireland, Mercedes McCambridge, James Barton, and Emlyn Williams. The screenplay concerns a man who escapes from an insane asylum and tries to convince a crusty hermit, a drifting saloon singer, and himself that he is not a murderer.
Se trata de Connie Carter (Mercedes McCambridge), una mujer aún joven y de azarosa existencia, por lo general ligada a clubs, que porta un pañuelo –el título del film- que a nuestro protagonista le permitirá evocar aspectos de ese crimen que está convencido ha cometido y por el que ha sido condenado, pero del que no tiene constancia en su recuerdo.
