Ao Haru Ride: Awaken explains things that are in the main story in more detail that otherwise were left to be interpreted by the reader. Something that the main story lacked was an insight into Kou's feelings and motivations for doing certain things.

Both Blue spring ride & Orange has a main male character with difficult past or complicated family background. This prevents them from realizing their love for the main female character earlier. Both anime also have female leads which do their best to support their love. I love romantic anime with good endings.
