Whit Grant Fraser CC (born November 26, 1942) is a Canadian journalist, broadcaster, and author who, by virtue of his marriage to Mary Simon, is the 56th and current viceregal consort of Canada. Biography
His Excellency Whit Grant Fraser is the spouse of Mary May Simon, Canada’s first Indigenous governor general and the 30 th governor general since Confederation. He was born in Merigomish, Pictou County, Nova Scotia on November 26, 1942.
