Trinity Hall is home to a friendly community of undergraduate and postgraduate students, tucked away on a beautiful riverside site by the city centre. It is one of the oldest colleges of Cambridge University, founded in 1350.
Trinity Hall (formally The College or Hall of the Holy Trinity in the University of Cambridge) is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge. Founded in 1350, it is the fifth-oldest surviving college of the university, having been established by William Bateman, Bishop of Norwich, to train clergymen in canon law after the Black Death.

Trinity Hall is the fifth oldest College in the University of Cambridge. It was founded in 1350 by Bishop Bateman, originally for the study of canon and civil law. The College consists of undergraduates and postgraduates across a range of subjects, Fellows, staff and alumni worldwide.
Trinity Hall is open to the public on: Tuesdays: 10am to midday, and 2pm to 5pm. Thursdays: 10am to midday, and 2pm to 5pm. Sundays: 9am to midday. Please note Trinity Hall is closed to the public from 21 December to 2 January inclusive. The College is also closed between April and June inclusive due to examinations.
A short walk from most lecture halls, laboratories, libraries, clubs, pubs, and shops, Trinity Hall is ideally situated for student life in Cambridge. Although our students maintain a long tradition of academic excellence, they also contribute to College and University life through their extra-curricular activities.
