Lawrence Joel (February 22, 1928 – February 4, 1984) was a United States Army soldier who served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
Lawrence Joel was a U.S. Army medic who saved many lives under heavy fire in November 1965. He received the Medal of Honor in 1967 and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty the Medal of Honor was awarded to SPECIALIST FIVE LAWRENCE JOEL United States Army.
