  1. Sir James Reid, 1st Baronet GCVO KCB VD JP (23 October 1849 – 28 June 1923), was a British doctor who served as physician-in-ordinary to three British monarchs; Queen Victoria, King Edward VII and King George V.

  5. James Reid was born in Scotland on 23 October 1849. He was educated at Aberdeen Grammar School and he studied at Aberdeen University from which he graduated in 1869 with an MA. He subsequently obtained the degrees of MB and CM in 1872, and MD in 1875.
