Francis Scott, 2nd Duke of Buccleuch, KT, FRS (11 January 1695 – 22 April 1751) was a Scottish nobleman.

When Hon Francis William Scott 2nd Duke of Buccleuch was born on 11 January 1694, in Dalkeith, Midlothian, Scotland, his father, James Scott Earl of Dalkeith, was 19 and his mother, Lady Henrietta Hyde, was 18. He married Lady Jane Douglas on 5 April 1720, in London, England.
The Earldom of Doncaster and Barony of Scott of Tindale had been forfeit at the time of the first Duke's attainder, but the titles were restored to the 2nd Duke of Buccleuch in 1742. Until 1835, the Dukes also held lands in the West Riding of Yorkshire and the ancient title of Lord of Bowland.

Francis Scott, 5th Earl of Dalkeith and 2nd Duke of Buccleuch, succeeded to his titles in 1724. The grandson of the 1st Duke of Monmouth, the eldest illegitimate son of Charles II who was beheaded by James II, Dalkeith was wealthy, well-connected and ardently pro-Hanoverian.
