John Henry Manners, 5th Duke of Rutland KG (4 January 1778 – 20 January 1857), styled Lord Roos from 1778 until 1779 and Marquess of Granby from 1779 until 1787, was a British landowner as well as an owner and breeder of Thoroughbred racehorses.

John Henry Manners was born in 1778. He became the 5th Duke of Rutland in 1787 on the death of his father Charles (1754-1787), the 4th Duke. John Henry married Lady Elizabeth Howard, daughter of the 5th Earl of Carlisle.
The most notable Marquess of Granby was John Manners (1721–1770), eldest son of the third Duke. He was an accomplished soldier and highly popular figure of his time; in 1745 he became a colonel; his military career flourished during the Seven Years' War .
