John Brian Swarbrick Jr. (born March 19, 1954) is the former athletic director at the University of Notre Dame. His appointment was announced in July 2008, replacing Kevin White, who resigned in June 2008 to take the same position at Duke University. Swarbrick served until 2024, when he was replaced by Pete Bevacqua.
John B. “Jack” Swarbrick Jr. is a University of Notre Dame graduate who retired on June 30, 2024 after his 16th year at his alma mater. In late March, he moved to his new post as Athletics Director Emeritus after spending the previous time as Vice President and James E. Rohr Director of Athletics.

He will join the University in July as Special Assistant to the President for Athletics and learn from Swarbrick, who led Notre Dame to unprecedented success and influence in college sports.
