Tan Zhongyi (Chinese: 谭中怡; born 29 May 1991) is a Chinese chess player who holds the title of grandmaster (GM). She is a former Women's World Champion, winning the 2017 knockout edition of the world championship in Iran where she defeated Anna Muzychuk in the final. Tan is also a former Women's World Rapid Champion.

Tan Zhongyi is a chess player who won the women's world title in 2017 and regained it in 2024 after beating Ju Wenjun in the Candidates Tournament. She also has several youth and individual awards, and plays mainly the Sicilian Defense and the Queen's Gambit.

Tan Zhongyi is a Chinese chess Grandmaster and a former Women's World Chess Champion (2017–2018). A young prodigy and one of the best players of her generation, she won numerous youth events, including twice the World Youth U10 Girls Chess Championship (in 2000 and 2001), and the World Youth U12 Girls Chess Championship the very next year.
