Noor Al-Samarrai is a poet and documentarian from California. Her work has been supported by Mophradat, the Fulbright Foundation, and the Breadloaf Environmental Conference. Her first collection of poetry, EL CERRITO (Inside the Castle, 2018), was recognized with an honorable mention by the Arab American Book Awards.
NOOR AL-SAMARRAI is a writer and performer whose work centers around the confluence between space and memory. EL CERRITO (Inside the Castle Press, 2018) is her debut collection of poetry. A 2016-2017 Fulbright Fellow, she also conducts workshops on poetry and situationism and sings in the band Dog-Maw and the Plastic L.A. Skyline.
Noor Al-Samarrai is a New York-based poet and performer. As a Fulbright Creative Arts Grantee in Amman, Jordan, she collected oral histories for an in-progress book about Baghdad's psychogeography.
