Elizabeth Grenville (née Wyndham; 1719 – 5 December 1769) was an English artist and writer. She was the wife of George Grenville, prime minister from 1763 to 1765; the daughter of Sir William Wyndham, a prominent Tory politician; and the mother of William Grenville, prime minister from 1806 to 1807.
In 1749 Grenville married Elizabeth Wyndham (1719 – 5 December 1769), daughter of Sir William Wyndham, and the granddaughter of Charles Seymour, 6th Duke of Somerset. Somerset did not approve of their marriage and consequently left Elizabeth only a small sum in his will.
He married Lady Elizabeth Wyndham on 16 June 1749, in London, England. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 13 November 1770, in Mayfair, Middlesex, England, at the age of 58, and was buried in Wotton Underwood, Buckinghamshire, England.
When Lady Elizabeth Sydenham was born in 1506, in Brympton, Somerset, England, her father, Sir John Sydenham MP, was 13 and her mother, Elizabeth HODY, was 28. Charlotte, Lady Williams-Wynn ( née Grenville; c. 1754 – 29 September 1830), was a British aristocrat. Early life. Williams-Wynn was born in Llanforda, Oswestry. She was the eldest child of the Prime Minister George Grenville and his wife, the former Elizabeth Wyndham, daughter of the Tory statesman Sir William Wyndham, 3rd Baronet.
