Major George Frederick Myddleton Cornwallis-West (14 November 1874 – 1 April 1951) was a British officer of the Scots Guards.
While attending a high-society party in the years following Lord Randolph’s passing, Jennie happened to meet George Cornwallis-West, a dashing captain in the Scots Guard and an influential member of society himself.

Attending a weekend party in July 1898 hosted by Daisy Warwick, Jennie was introduced to George Cornwallis-West, a captain in the Scots Guards who was just 16 days older than her own son Winston; he was instantly smitten, and they spent much time together.
Despite the doubts and concerns of their families, 46-year-old Jennie married 26-year-old George Cornwallis-West in London on July 28, 1900. George, who was just 16 days older than her son Winston, had no money and resigned his commission to seek more lucrative employment.
