Gengahr are an English indie rock band, formed in 2013 at Stoke Newington School in Hackney, London. [1] Though originally named RES, they were forced to rename after discovering an artist already called RES on iTunes. Their new name is a play on Gengar, one of the original Pokémon. [1]

Gengahr are a four-piece band from Hackney, London. Consisting of Felix Bushe (vocals/guitar), Hugh Schulte (bass), Danny Ward (drums) and John Victor (guitar), they mix airy.
Being in a band is a journey; a voyage of hope and uncertainty. And Gengahr’s frontman Felix Bushe seems to know this more than anyone else… After the success of their acclaimed first album, ‘A Dream Outside’, Gengahr felt an immense pressure to create something extraordinary.
17 de oct. de 2016 · “When we did the first album, we didn’t tour anything, we hadn’t played live, so it was very much a studio album,” admits frontman Felix Bushe. Everything about Gengahr’s rise was back-to-front – they played the O2 Arena before a single headline show, built up a fanbase before they’d even stepped on a stage.
