James Clay Hageman (March 2, 1930 – August 23, 2006) was an American politician, businessman, and rancher who served as a member of the Wyoming House of Representatives from 1983 until his death in 2006.
James Clay “Jim” Hageman. 1930-2006. James Clay “Jim” Hageman grew up on a ranch near Shawnee, Wyoming, where he was the third child of six. He worked hard helping his folks milking cows and feeding chickens everyday before school, and riding plenty of horses.

James went to Douglas High School where he graduated in 1948. He later attended the University of Wyoming. All while growing up, his paternal uncles ran roundup wagons across the state.
