Panthera pardus tulliana, also called Anatolian leopard, Persian leopard and Caucasian leopard in different parts of its range, is a leopard subspecies that was first described in 1856 based on a zoological specimen found in western Anatolia.

From 2004 to 2021, many field studies of 2–10 days were conducted focusing on the Anatolian leopard in all regions throughout Türkiye including Thrace and most extensively in NE Türkiye. We were also able to obtain evidence for leopards during the field studies on different subjects.
The Caucasian Leopard (Panthera pardus tulliana) also known as Persian Leopard, is a powerful and majestic symbol of wilderness. It is the world's largest leopard subspecies and is identified a vulnerable species on the IUCN Red List.
