Pearl Thompson, [1] (nacido el 8 de noviembre de 1957, en Wimbledon, Reino Unido), también conocido como Porl Thompson, es un músico británico conocido por su trabajo en The Cure. Thompson fue el mayor de cuatro hermanos.
Pearl Thompson (born Paul Stephen Thompson in 1957) is an English musician and artist who played guitar, keyboards and saxophone for The Cure from 1983 to 2011. He also designed most of the Cure's album covers and paintings, and changed his name to Pearl in 2012.
The Cure. It all started in 1976 as Easy Cure, formed by Robert Smith (vocals, guitar) along with schoolmates Michael Dempsey (bass), Lol Tolhurst (drums) and local guitar hero Porl Thompson. They began writing and demoing their own songs almost immediately, playing throughout 1977 in Southern England to an ever growing army of fans.

2019 Inductee Pearl Thompson of The Cure joined host Carrie Keagan on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame red carpet presented by Hilton Hotels and Citi.
