I'm sure there is a difference, but I'm struggling to explain what it the difference, but I am sure there is one. I think a commitment on is less significant than a commitment to.
18 de feb. de 2010 · The same goes for "to commit oneself", which can also be followed by the infinitive. If you prefer to say "commitment to creating" then clearly "to" is a preposition. But it doesn't have to be and grammar can't prove that commitment must be followed by a preposition.

6 de abr. de 2008 · English. Apr 6, 2008. #2. To me, a commitment is more of a long-term kind of thing. Say, if you are commited to a certain task it means you are refusing to give up. Whereas a promise is more of a thing from person to person, "I promise". You wouldn't say, "I commit". A promise, to me, seems a way of asking for the other person's trust.
